Playing the Money Game

June 10th, 2009

Playing the money game means you actually have fun with your money affirmations. How would it be for you if a great friend said to you throughout the day, “You are the money”? Well, that can be true because you can say it to yourself and take it another level by taking it in front of a mirror.

Being in Jack Canfield’s Platinum Mastermind has afforded me all possibilities of working with Jack and other high achievers. Jack is a firm believer in the power of the Mastermind and in having an Accountability Partner. This gives players in bigger games the support they want to stay on track both with physical goals and their own positive mental attitude, PMA. Oftentimes the light hearted play that comes from those sessions BREAKS up stuck energy simply by introducing play into a perhaps too serious thought that one is not good enough.

At just one such moment my Accountability Partner, Joe Caltabelotta, a dynamic Real Estate Agent from San Diego, CA and I were affirming money and free time to enjoy family and life. In the most perfect and light hearted tone, Joe yells out, Ellen, you are the money. The joy and laughter that came from that moment inspired both Joe and I to take the affirmation to the mirror. What better spot to ground the prosperity game right where you want it - in YOU.

Because only a misperception, usually early in life, masks the truth of who you really are, your only job is to shift the thoughts and the energy behind them. None of it is bad because it’s all for a learning and growth but if it becomes painful it’s time to change the old for what you really want. You are the power; you are All Potential; therefore, you know You Are the Money!

Change your thoughts and create the abundance of wealth you were designed to have. You are the creator in your world and there is nothing else. You are the power and the change. You decide. You make it happen. You’re the one who can make changes for you but in the meantime I ask that you keep believeing the best about you and for you. If the changes are painful, don’t give up; newness and wonder are at hand. You deserve the best. You are the All Potential and of course, You Are the Money.

Create Some Money Today, Ellen Valentine

AFFIRMATIONS-If you need, want something. get it! Use mind and computer

May 9th, 2009

Many years ago in France a man named Emile Coue came up with an idea which was new for the time. His idea was that if you repeated something (like a phrase) to yourself often enough, you could bring about personal change. No one had ever come up with such an original thought as this before Coue.

What was Coue’s famous short phrase? You’ve probably heard it:

Every day, in every way I am getting better and better.

For some reason people began to recite this phrase and it seemed to work. But, of course, neither Coue or anyone else had any solid idea of why it worked. People just began saying this phrase and it eventually became famous.

What Coue had apparently invented were Affirmations. That is, a short sentence or phrase which affirms that you want something to occur.

Are Affirmations effective?

Yes, Affirmations work. Almost every self-help method or program around today uses Affirmations. Some call them by a different name, but they are in the end, all just regular Affirmations. Today, a growing proportion of the population has apparently heard of Affirmations and many use this technique.

Why do Affirmations work?

(1) The more determined you are to make the changes you want, the better they work.

(2) The more you are prepared to accept those desired changes, the more effective Affirmations are.

(3) When change happens you should be prepared to accept it and let go of the past..

The more you follow these 3 steps, the better your Affirmations will perform Being willing to accept change is a big part of making your Affirmations happen. Your success is, as they say, up to you.

And, there is a reasonable reason for Affirmation success.

Those who study this subject, indicate that the subconscious mind is the key. We all have a subconscious mind and it is powerful.

When we say (and think) that an Affirmation is true, we are forcing our subconscious to choose — will it accept or resist the Affirmation?

In the end, your subconscious will accept what you are saying to it. Do not be surprised if it takes some time. Your subconscious may not agree with you at first because it is zeroed in on your past set of beliefs. Some of these past beliefs may have been installed by your parents when you were very young. These early beliefs are often difficult to overcome.

Although, if your subconscious believed all along in what you said in your Affirmation, things could change fast. That is what happens when people say that the change was “a miracle”.

Affirmations will reprogram your belief system. This is what leads to change. Once resistance is broken, your subconscious is able to re-examine your core beliefs and patterns. The effect of this reprogramming can be startling and things can change very quickly as dysfunctional beliefs get identified and replaced by your own new inner truth.

Because Affirmations reprogram your thought patterns, they actually change the way you think and feel about things. Because you have replaced dysfunctional beliefs with your own new positive beliefs, positive change comes easily and more naturally

A new computer program is reputed to be effective when it comes to Affirmations and making changes. This program runs on your computer. The author claims it takes but 10 minutes a day to become effective.

This article’s scope does not cover more details than those given above. To go into more detail would require writing a very long piece about computers and the mind, which we do not want to do here.

The Art of Inspiration

April 30th, 2009

What exactly is inspiration? We often talk about being inspired-inspired to do something, a feeling of inspiration: “I felt inspired.” We speak about inspiring people: “She’s an inspiring speaker.”

The word inspire comes from the word spirit, the Latin spritus, meaning breath, which was derived from the verb sprre ‘breathe’. In the Augustan period, it gradually began to take over as the word for soul.

For me, inspiration is something that touches me deep within my soul. I feel it. It’s a connection with something bigger than myself. And I like it. Most people do. Is it possible to be inspired all the time-to stay in touch with something higher than ourselves, to be motivated, enthusiastic-connected? I believe it is.

Inspiring People An important key to being inspired is to associate with people who are inspiring. They’re the kind of people you just feel better being around. You feel more stimulated-more alive. An inspiring person is someone who helps us see and believe in our highest good-someone who helps draw out the very best that’s within us. Conversely, we also want to stay away from people who bring us down.

An inspirational person empowers us to stay motivated and excited about our dreams. They’re someone with a vision for a better world. They challenge us to dig deep and encourage us through the tough times.

Inspiring people are good role models. They model excellence and give us something to which to aspire. They share themselves. They’re authentic.

Stimulating Ideas and Reminders In addition to people, good books, tapes and movies can provide impetus for our inspiration. They stimulate our thinking. What we read isn’t as important as what the reading causes us to think. We feed our bodies every day-hopefully with good fuel. We need to feed our minds every day as well. Anything that reminds us of who we are and what we’re capable of becoming is a valuable tool indeed.

Staying focused on our dreams and our commitment to them is key to staying inspired. Affirmations can be very helpful here.

Music Music can touch us at a vibratory level in ways that can stimulate and tap the imagination. Music can get us out of our head and more into our heart. Find the music that moves your soul and play it-often.

Our Environment Where we live, work and play can have a significant influence upon our level of inspiration. The visual, auditory, kinesthetic and even olfactory effect of our surroundings can dramatically impact our ability to operate at our best. It’s hard to be inspired when our personal environment is depressing. Clean up and spruce up your personal space and see what a difference it makes.

Solitude Time alone is critical to tapping into our divinity. Most of us are human doings instead of human beings. Too much emphasis is placed on doing things and not enough on pondering the metaphysical mustiness-to tapping into divine ideas.

It matters not what you call it-meditation, prayer or solitude-communing with our Higher Power is essential to bringing out our full potential.

I wish for you to realize your full and divine potential. I wish for you to live a life of excellence-a life of excitement and joy. I wish for you to be inspired and inspiring.

Whats Kinesiology Got to Do With Anything?

April 22nd, 2009

Kinesiology, muscle testing, is widely used by health practitioners all over the world. Kinesiology is an accurate, dependable way of understanding the bodys needs.

Muscle testing expert, James Stevens, has developed a simple system to check muscle strength to indicate whether or not certain elements are beneficial to ones body. He amazes the many clients in his practice by demonstrating this commonly used technique. He can test the quality of organic versus inorganic elements; this product against that product; even the accuracy of written affirmations!

Stevens gets a baseline check on the strength of any muscle or muscle group with a tester, a device he developed for demonstration purposes.

People are asked to make a simple statement aloud, such as, Im going to try to finish my project today. The indicator shows they have NO strength in any muscle group! BUT, when they declare, Ill make every effort to finish my project today the results indicate infinitely more strength in every muscle group! Astonishing, isnt it?

With his simple kinesiology indicator, James Stevens proves repeatedly that the body cannot process the word try!

Much has been written about self talk and how critical it is. Considering how incorrect statements can weaken the entire organism, including the bodys immune system, it behooves us to pay close attention to what we tell ourselves!

The lesson for us is clear: if you are not achieving the level of success you hope to have, the possibility exists that you may be TRYing too hard! What are you telling yourself? What are you hearing? Your muscles understand the message, even if your mind is wandering elsewhere.

Here are some examples of the unintentional message you may have been exposed to hearing::

I tried, and tried, but I couldnt figure it out

I tried to call you. Where were you?

Ive tried EVERYTHING

If at first, you dont succeed, try, try again.

Ill try my best to (fill in the blank).

I think you understand the point Im driving home. Let me give you a few, more helpful, ideas:

I made every effort to understand it and I finally GOT it!

I placed a call to you; you must have been away from your phone.

Ive run the gamut of every solution and came to this conclusion:

Ill make every effort to (fill in the blank).

Sometimes just a tiny tweak here or there makes all the difference. Effort versus TRY. Who knew?

The challenge for you is to change a small habit. Be kind and patient with yourself as you create this change and record your progress as you rise to the top of the mountain you have chosen to climb. Be your best self and keep your muscle groups strong by making every effort!

How Subliminal Affirmations Work

April 1st, 2009

By now everyone has probably heard of affirmations, maybe you’ve tried them, and you probably found they didn’t work as well as you expected if they even worked at all. This is what a lot of people find when they try to use affirmations to change their lives. I’m not saying affirmations don’t work, I’m just saying you have to use them in a way that is going to work for your brain.

There are many parts to your brain, but overall it is divided into two elements. The conscious brain, and the nonconscious brain. Your conscious brain has dominion over the waking thinking part of your life. It makes decisions, resolutions and all the things that are done consciously. Generally this is the level people use affirmations at.

As powerful as your conscious brain is, it doesn’t hold a candle to your nonconscious brain. Your nonconscious brain controls 96-98% of your perception and behavior. This is pretty impressive. This is the part of your brain where your habits, both physical and of thought and your beliefs live. If you are not changing you nonconscious mind when you try to change your life you are going to fall flat.

This happens because your conscious brain, where you “decide” to do stuff, has a very short attention span and loses focus about every 20 seconds. Your nonconscious brain on the other hand holds everything you have every seen, thought, imagined, learned FOREVER!! Yes, forever. That’s why we have to get the nonconscious brain in on the action of change.

So how can you use affirmations for change and still get the nonconscious brain in on the action? Submliminal affirmations. So what are subliminal affirmations? They are really no different than regular affirmations. What differs is how they are delivered. Subliminal affirmations are flashed at you at a high rate of speed. In fact, you can not even read them, you simply see a flash. However, your nonconscious brain has the ability to input that data, and in fact, does.

Viewing subliminal affirmations on your computer screen is only one way to use them effectively. You can also have them played through your speakers. They are sent out at a subliminal level, which means you can’t hear them with your ears. However, your nonconscious mind has the ability to hear this level and will process each one.

Now it’s time to make real change in your life. To do this you have to do a few preparatory steps. You need to create a vision (daydream) of exactly what it feels like when you have accomplished this change. Make sure to include all your senses in this wonderful daydream. Once you have a very clear picture of this new reality you need to create some affirmations or statements that will support it. You obviously have some beliefs to the contrary of this vision or you would already have it, but that’s ok. We’re creating new beliefs here. Then you want to create imprinting materials. These are things that bypass your conscious brain and work directly with the nonconscious. This can be vision boards, EFT and of course subliminal affirmations. Begin using these tools regularly, time is not a huge factor, but consistency is. Try to do some imagining regularly every day, even if it’s only a few minutes.

This may seem like a difficult task but the imprinting can be done quite simply. You can post your vision board above your desk, allowing your nonconscious brain access just by the fact it is there in your environment. You can take a few minutes a couple times a day to daydream about your vision. You can of course use subliminal software to display your subliminal affirmations on your computer screen and through your speakers.

As you can see your powerful nonconscious mind is a necessity when you are trying to make lasting change in your life. If you fail to use the nonconscious mind in this process lasting results are unlikely. It is in using the nonconscious mind to create new beliefs and habits that you will see the results in your life.

Subliminal Affirmations Can Help Change Any Part of Your Life

March 31st, 2009

Have you tried using the law of attraction only to find it just didn’t work? Did you employ affirmations as part of your law of attraction practice only to see no changes, and give up on the whole thing? If you did, you are like many others. It’s unfortunate, since the law of attraction does work, but you have to know one critical step, and that’s how to use your nonconscious brain.

Your brain is comprised of two very separate sides, each does very important things. The conscious part of your brain helps you make decisions, it daydreams (which is very important), it imagines. The nonconscious part of your brain is the more powerful part though. Generally this is part of the brain where people use their affirmations.

Your conscious brain however, has nothing on your non-conscious brain. This is where all your habits, thoughts and beliefs are held. Your nonconscious brain can process 400 Billion (yes with a B) bits of information in one second! Your conscious brain is only able to process 2000 bits of information every second. Your nonconscious brain is where new neural pathways are built, where new habits of thought and beliefs are formed. If you don’t work with your nonconscious brain when it comes to life changes you are going to find you are not having the kind of success you hoped for.

If affirmations haven’t worked for you in the past you might be wondering how on earth they are going to work this time. You have to pull your nonconscious brain into the process. You are not going to say them at a conscious level, but go past that and deliver them straight to the nonconscious part of your brain. This is known as subliminal affirmations. Subliminal affirmations are flashed for but milliseconds in front of you on a computer screen. Your conscious brain doesn’t have the ability to read them that fast, but your amazing nonconscious brain grabs every one. Bypassing your conscious brain makes them very effective.

Viewing subliminal affirmations on your computer screen is only one way to use them effectively. You can also have them played through your speakers. They are sent out at a subliminal level, which means you can’t hear them with your ears. However, your nonconscious mind has the ability to hear this level and will process each one.

When you decide to change with your conscious mind you need to do a couple things to “make it stick” in your nonconscious mind. The first of which is to get really clear on what it is you DO want. You want to fill in all the details in your mind, how it looks, tastes, smells and especially important is how it feels when you are what you are trying to change. You then want to develop some some powerful declarations and affirmations that match this vision you have created. You want to create “imprinting materials” such things as images, written words, audios that also match your new vision. You then want to begin imprinting all of these things on your nonconscious mind.

By making sure to include your nonconscious mind in your transformation you will begin to see the changes appearing in your life. This is the big mistake people make, you can’t just decide and have it happen, you have to do a little work to change what’s on the inside before you can start seeing the changes on the outside.

Using Subliminal Affirmations to Make Changes in Your Life

March 30th, 2009

If you are not changing you nonconscious mind when you try to change your life you are going to fall flat.

You may have failed in the past because you were only employing your conscious brain in the process. Your conscious brain, as powerful as it is can only stay focused for about 20 seconds. That is not very long when you need continued repetition and focus to build new pathways in your brain. Your nonconscious brain however, remembers everything. Forever. So everything you have ever seen, heard, thought, smelled, tasted and even imagined, whether it registered in your conscious mind or not is remembered in your nonconscious brain. It’s all there just waiting for you to draw upon.

You can also use subliminal affirmations through audio. You conscious mind and ears will not hear them as they are recorded at a subliminal level, but you can be sure that your ever powerful nonconscious mind is picking up every single one.

You want to create “imprinting materials” such things as images, written words, audios that also match your new vision. You then want to begin imprinting all of these things on your nonconscious mind.

Imprinting on your nonconscious mind can abe as easy as having your vision board above your desk all day, so your nonconscious mind is always taking in the information in front of you. It is important to set up times each day where you simply “vision” the changes you want in your life. Make sure you vision them as they are true and now part of your life. Your nonconscious mind knows nothing of time, or the difference between real and vision. Each time you vision your life you are imprinting it as though it has already happened on your nonconscious mind. You can also use software for you computer to create subliminal affirmations that can flash at you throughout the day, sending those affirmations you created straight to your nonconscious mind.

If you want to really see change happen in your life, no matter what area you are going to have to get past your conscious mind and get your nonconscious mind in the game. IT is only when you use your nonconscious mind to build new beliefs that you will see the results of these new beliefs become a reality in your life.

Positive Affirmations, Why They Work

March 29th, 2009

Your subconscious thoughts determine almost everything in your mind. In order to build a positive mind, you need positive statements. You can create positive subconscious thoughts by consistently repeating positive statements. These statements are positive affirmations.

Positive affirmations will reinforce the new positive image you hold for yourself, once they are instated. Positive thinking will replace negative thinking on a conscious and subconscious level. You will then have access to all of the positive energy you have within and create a new positive reality.

You need to really feel the emotions while using positive affirmations. Experience each emotion fully. In your mind, you must believe that each affirmation is a fact and is true. If you follow these guidelines, your positive changes will happen more quickly.

The first 30 days are usually the make or break when it comes to positive affirmations. It takes about 21 days to make a change in your mental image, for some it may be longer. I suggest 30 to be safe. Writing them down until you know them by heart is a good way to start. If you are using them as frequently as you should, it will not take long.

Some examples of places to use them are, waking up in the morning, each time you go to the bathroom, brushing your teeth, washing your hands, before each meal and before you go to sleep at night. These are just examples and you can create your own situations. But to achieve the best results and to not forget to use them, you should use certain points in the day that will trigger you into saying them, as in the suggestions above. If you want, you can set some type of alarm and say them every hour on the hour. Another idea is to tape them on the ceiling over your bed, on your mirrors, your refrigerator doors, your cupboard doors, on the clocks, etc. It’s your choice.

To help further change your thought pattern more quickly, you can eject all negative thoughts you experience every day as you become more aware of them. Your positive affirmations can do much good if it’s continually battling negative thoughts and emotions. When you notice a negative thought, just make a decision that next time you will try to be more positive.

Most of us have been programmed from birth to think negatively. We didn’t do it on purpose, we simply did it unconsciously. Once you begin to be conscious of your thoughts and thought patterns, you can begin to change them. In the beginning, you may not notice all of your negative thoughts or you may notice them several hours after they have happened. Simply acknowledge that you had the thought and eject it. Don’t beat yourself up, that encourages negative thinking. Just move on. After a few days, you will become much faster and noticing your thoughts. And before you realize you can catch these negative thoughts before they start.

Harness the Power of Affirmations

March 5th, 2009

Affirmation statements -we hear them spoken often by motivational speakers, authors, writers etc., but what can we personally do to harness the power of affirmations in our own lives?

Think about a time in your life when you desired to make a change ” something major, like finding a new job, moving to a new city or home, or something less momentous like a New Years resolution to improve your overall health. Can you think of a past experience like that? Now, think about the tools that you used or steps that you took to help guide you through that transition and keep you focused on achieving your goals while making that change.

These tools in effect, involved you setting in motion a series of events to accomplish the goals you’d set out for yourself, and one of the easiest ways to achieve success is to create affirmations.

Affirmations are very easy to use and quite powerful once you get the hang of practicing this daily exercise. Affirmations keep you focused on whats important to you and help you achieve positive transitions. Basically an affirmation is a declaration that something is already true and has come to fruition in your life in the present moment. You have to believe what you are looking to achieve or obtain has already arrived in order for it to show up in your life.

If your desire is to create personal well-being, first choose a phrase that describes what you desire. For example, if you desire to adopt a healthier lifestyle, then your affirmation statement could say, I feel good and look good when I live a healthy lifestyle. Or I enjoy the great feelings I get from exercising daily. Short powerful statements are more focused and work much better to bring about results than long, drawn-out paragraphs.

There are some rules to follow when creating an affirmation that Id like to share with you.

Rule # 1: The phrase must be in the present tense, such as I feel good, as opposed to I will feel good which implies that at some point in the future you might achieve your goal. Remember to phrase your affirmation as if your desire

Rule #2: The statement must always be written from a positive perspective, instead of a negative one. For example, you wouldn’t say I don’t feel good when I am not healthy as this places your health - which you are trying to change ” in a negative context. Always phrase your desire/affirmation statement in a positive context and in the present tense.

Rule #3: Repeat often. After you create an affirmation, write it down on something that you can keep with you, like a notebook or card to put in your purse or wallet, or place it somewhere that you look at often throughout your day such as on your bathroom mirror or your desk at work. Make sure that you read your affirmation statements as many times during your day as possible.

Studies have shown that using the power of affirmations can lower stress and I have found this to be true in my own life. When I get clear about what I want in my life and focus on my desires with affirmations every day, I am more content and peaceful. What we focus on grows, so the more you focus your attention on your affirmations, the more likely you are to create positive changes in your life and achieve your dreams.

My favorite book on affirmations and the power of healing is Louise Hays, You Can Heal Your Life. In this fascinating book you can learn more about the healing power of affirmations and how you can harness them to improve your overall health and well-being. And frankly, who wouldn’t like to live a healthier, more serene life in these turbulent times?

Using the power behind affirmations can truly change your life for the better. Put this into practice this week by writing down three short affirmations about three areas you’d like to make positive changes in your life. Be sure to state your desires in the present tense and in a positive way. Practice repeating these statements as many times as you can for 7 days and see what wonderful changes reveal themselves in your life.

Make Sure Your Subliminal Software Has These 5 Things

March 4th, 2009

If you are on the market for subliminal software there are 5 essential elements you need to a decision that will give you the software that is just right for you and your needs.

Viewing the Affirmations

The software you are looking at may come with a ton of affirmations included. It is important though, that you can look in the affirmation files and see what the actual affirmations are. You want to make sure they are worded correctly, in the present tense and written in an affirmative format. You also want to make sure you can modify the affirmations that come with the software. No software is going to cover all of your specific needs, so being able to modify and change the accompanying affirmations is a must.

Can You Add Your Own Affirmations?

You also want to make sure you can add affirmations to the list that is provided. You are an individual and you have had specific experiences that have shaped your life. A completely general set of affirmation is not going to get to the heart of some of your personal needs. You need to be able to add affirmations specific to your needs.

Do You Control How You See the Affirmations?

You want to make sure the software you choose offers the ability to view your affirmations on the computer screen. You also want to make sure you have some control over the speed of presentation as well as the frequency you see the messages. Your brain is as individual as the rest of you, and being able to personalize the experience is a key ingredient to getting the most out of your software.

Is There an Audio Option?

It’s also great if you can find a subliminal software that offers more than one type of imprinting format. If you can find a software that also allows you to play your messages through the speakers you have found a great software. Having multiple formats allows you a wider range of opportunities to use the software, and allows it to use more than one of your senses to imprint, which is best. The more senses involved the better.

Ongoing support

As simple as this software may appear you may run into questions at some point. Make sure the software you choose has ongoing support. You may find they offer ongoing updates to the software as well. This is a good thing. You don’t want to spend money on software only to find you get stuck with a question and no one to answer it.
